Rose Anne assumed a new title: Territory Planning Manager for the Northeast Business Unit of Pioneer Hi-Bred International

"April flowers bring May . . . . . Half-Marathons? This past May, Rosie and I traded our beloved Indy "500" Half Marathon for the Capital City Half Marathon in Columbus Ohio. 5900 runners participated in the event on May 7, compared to the 35,000 athletes who run the Indy. The 8th annual Columbus event took us through the short north, German Village, the Ohio State University campus and finished in the Arena District. It was a good race and gave us an opportunity to see some sights we hadn't experienced. Both of us bettered a previous finishing time, however, neither of us set personal 1/2 marathon PRs. Great weather - 56 degree start, 64 degree finish and sunny in central OH-IO! Definitely not the nostalgia of "Back Home in Indiana" and both of us felt the effects of NOT having the Ken Long "Bricks 2 Bricks" training!

St. Aidan - Monastic founder, bishop, and miracle worker known for his kindness to animals. Feast Day - January 31

Aiden Graper Muska - First Communion - April 30, 2011 - Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church
“For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” – 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Bob & Rosie at Medallion Golf Club & Easter weekend with family!

Easter Sunday with Jim & Ann; Wes & Jennifer

Updating the blog . . . This will require quite a few postings, as our activities and noteworthy events didn't subside, only the blog author became negligent in posting new and pictures . . shame on him! Here we go! Remembering April . . . April 2 was my first performance with the "Singing Buckeyes", a 90 minute show at the Columbus Museum of Art, with 46 men on the risers. Rose Anne thought the music selection and performance was very good. April 4, our Butler Bulldogs finished NCAA Basketball Runner-ups, two years in a row, an accomplishment few schools can match! April 9, Bob & Rosie completed the "Dam Fool 5 Miler", by sloshing through the wooded trail, crossing Alum Creek Dam, climbing 'the hill', and finishing the extended race, which was 4 miles last year! April 10, we joined our friends, Rick & Sue Claypole, in our first Medallion Club golf outing. However cold & windy, it was fun to share some time on our new links with each other & our new friends. April 15-16, Ted traveled to Lima OH to join his barbershop chorus friends as the "Singing Buckeyes" chorus competed in the JAD (Johnny Appleseed District) spring contest. While finishing third in the top classification, the chorus increased their score from the last 3 contests. Our contest set incorporated a "western theme" singing "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning" and "A Little Patch of Heaven". "Yahoo"! Rose Anne had a busy month at Pioneer ending with a Business Town Hall meeting toward the end of the month. Easter Sunday, April 24, we enjoyed having Wes & Jennifer and Jim & Ann Dane with us, at home in Lewis Center. Ted travelled to Indianapolis on April 30 for Aiden's First Communion at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. God Bless Aiden, Mindy and Chris.
