"Follow the Yellow Brick Road" to . . . "the Emerald City" . . . "Quarter Marathon" Labor Day, September 4, Rose Anne and I competed in the Dublin "Emerald City Quarter & Half Marathon". 743 runners competed in the Quarter & and equal number finished the Half Marathon. Although not really the "Yellow Brick Road", we did follow a path on a course that wound through Franklin & Union Counties and through the beautiful Glacier Ridge Metro Park. The metro park is one of sixteen in the chain of Central Ohio Park system, a showcase of natural beauty. Rose Anne was 8 of 19 in her Age Group; I was 3rd in my Age Group and top 45% Over-All. Good start to Labor Day, followed by breakfast at at local Dublin Restaurant with numerous other participants!
