(pictures taken along Alum Creek State Park Sunday, 01/16/11, as I travelled to and from Mass at St. John Neumann, Sunbury) Mother Nature changes coats often throughout the winter. Sunday, my favorite cove appeared barren, compared to the multi-colored coat of fall.. Veins of cracked ice stretched across the reservoir blanket in white. Inlets took on a blue-grey hue as ice melted close to shore. Warm rays of sunlight pierced through the tall, barren trees nestled in the snow-covered woods surrounding the lake. It's Thursday, and today, she is putting on a fresh, white, coat for us all to admire!
