May (2013) Flowers . . . . May 27 we ran the "Ring Around the Roses 5K" in Clintonville, at Whetstone Park of Roses, during Memorial Day weekend on a cool, overcast morning. It was our second year and both had good races.

May (2013) Flowers . . . Anne enjoyed a visit with us at home then we joined Colleen in celebration of her graduation from Bishop Chatard  H.S.

May (2013) "Flowers" . . . Trips to Saginaw MI and Franklin IN, relaxing Mother's Day weekend at home, We celebrated Ella's Birthday in Centerville

March 31, "Happy Easter" . . . . then April (2013) "Showers" . . . . Wes, Jennifer, Henry and Cara, Jim, Riley and Alexis joined us for the Easter weekend. We ran the Long John 5K on Saturday morning, then celebrated Jennifer's Birthday (March 28). and the Easter Bunny visited Henry, Riley and Alexis Easter Sunday after church and Mass..     

 April brought the JAD Spring Convention, in Huntington WVa, in which the "Singing Buckeyes" competed and qualified for an At-Large bid to the 2013 International Chorus Contest in Toronto. Tragedy hit the Boston Marathon when terrorists set off two bombs near the finish line. 

2013 "Bulldog Jog" photos . . . Started at Hinkle Fieldhouse at the bottom of the hill, ran past the Carillon, through campus, along the canal, past Holcomb Gardens, and ended on the field at Butler Bowl. Great morning for a race!

March 23, 2013 - 21st Annual Bull Dog Jog @ Butler University! We enjoyed another great weekend and race in Indy. A chance to visit with family and friends and spend time on campus with Blue II, "Trip", and Hink! We always seem to pack in lots of things in a short time: a visit with friends at Barnes & Noble, supper with Joe & Judy, ran the Bulldog Jog 5K, and finally were able to see Riley play B-Ball in Franklin, before heading back to Lewis Center!

March 30 - Long John Run at the Oval on OSU Campus.  . . 29 degree at 8:30 start time w/ 121 runners. 10:06 pace for Ted; 10:59 first mile for Rosie . . good race!

OSU Ross Heart TriFit Challenge

The Long John Run is part of the OSU Ross Heart Hospital's Wellness series - a partnership between OSU Ross Heart Hospital and City of Columbus Recreation and Parks and the Department of Health to promote heart-healthy activities for the prevention of heart disease. All proceeds from this event go to the Ross Heart Hospital for heart disease treatment and research or back into the community for City of Columbus programs supporting heart health and overall wellness.
