Capital City Half Marathon is "in the books!" 13,000 runners for the event including a 5K, Quarter Marathon with 8,051 of those participants running the Half Marathon. Rosie and I ran a great race starting out a little quick, averaging under 12 minute/mile for the first 5 miles. We finished in 2:45:02 with a 12:36 pace. Rose Anne was 67 of 129 in her 55-59 Age Group. Both of us felt good after the race; and still not too many aches and pains Sunday, attributing the success to our persistent individual training, both logging more miles this year than previous years (still missed the excellent Bricks to Bricks training of Ken Long). Heard some good music along the way and the inevitable
